How to manually remove patches from a concert via "Show Package Contents"
If your Sunday Keys concert is loading too slowly after updating MainStage, you can mitigate this load time by manually removing some of the patches from the concert's Patch List before attempting to open the concert.
Here's how to manually remove patches:
- Open Finder.
- Navigate to your MainStage folder and locate the Sunday Keys concert you'd like to modify.
- First, we recommend duplicating your concert to ensure that you don't lose changes. You can do this by right clicking on your concert, then selecting "Duplicate"
- Right click on the concert file and select "Show Package Contents"
- In the opened Finder window, locate "Concert.patch". Right click on "Concert.patch" and select "Show Package Contents"
- In this Finder window, you will be able to inspect the .patch and .cst files that make up your Sunday Keys concert. To remove a patch(es), make your selection, then right click and select "Move to Trash". If the patches in your concert have been modified / changed from the original patches in Patch Builder, you could save them in a folder inside your MainStage folder for now so you don't lose them, and then add them back in once you get the concert open.
Pro tip: A MainStage Set is saved as a patch file. To remove patches from within a set, locate the set's .patch file, right-click and select "Show Package Contents", then proceed to remove the patches you'd like to trim. - After you've manually removed these patches, restart MainStage (if you had the affected concert open, be sure to NOT save) for the changes to take effect.
- Reopen your concert. (After these changes, you may get a "File Missing" warning. That's expected. Just hit "OK", then be sure to hit save after your concert is opened).
- Add only the patches that you need to your concert now that it's open. If these were Go-to Sunday Keys Patches, you'll find them in Patch Builder > Layered Worship Patches > 1. Go-to Sunday Keys Patches
