How to Adjust the Layer Range of an Ableton Live Patch (Create a Keyboard S

It's pretty quick and easy to change the layer range of a sound inside Ableton Live.

If you wanted to change the layer range of one sound - for example, one of Sunday Sounds free Patch of the Week Patches like Grainy Noise Arp, first you'll want to open the Ableton Live set it is contained in. (If you have trouble opening it in Live, there are more instructions at the bottom of the webpage where you downloaded the free patch)

From here, you'll click on the icon below in red to see the layer ranges and which keyboard notes will make the Grainy Arp sound:

It should look like this in Live after you click on that icon above and turn it from grey to yellow. You'll want to be sure that you have the words "Key" selected as it is here:

From here, you can click on the middle of the green bar and move it around, or you can go to either end to expand it.
