Bluetooth & Network MIDI
The Sunday Keys App can be connected to Bluetooth and/or Network MIDI connections to allow complete control from remote devices.
Connecting to a Bluetooth MIDI Device
Under the Bluetooth/Network MIDI section, click the "Connect" button in the row labeled Connect your Bluetooth MIDI Devices. A menu will open showing available Bluetooth devices.
Simply tap the name of the device to connect, then tap to dismiss the menu.
After the App is connected to that device, go to the MIDI Input section to assign the newly connected Bluetooth MIDI device as your Primary or Secondary MIDI Controller.
Connecting to a Network MIDI Device
Setting up a Network MIDI Device requires a Mac computer and a built-in utility called Audio MIDI Setup. First, you will need to create a Virtual MIDI Network on your Mac.
- On your Man, open the Audio MIDI Setup app
- In the MIDI Studio menu, select Open MIDI Network Setup...
- In the window that opens, click the + button to create a new session
- Give the newly created session a name
- Add a Bonjour name that you'll use to identify your computer, then Enable the session
- If your Mac and iPad are on the same network, you should see your iPad as an available device in the Directory. Select it and click Connect.
- After clicking Connect, you should see the iPad listed in the Participants
- On your iPad, open Sunday Keys App, then navigate to the MIDI Settings. Click the Connect button in the row labeled Connect your Network MIDI devices. A menu will open displaying the available devices. You should see your connected device labeled with a check mark.
After the App is connected to that device, go to the MIDI Input section to assign the newly connected Network MIDI device as your Primary or Secondary MIDI Controller.
